Fuji Administrative District

The Fuji Administrative District is the site of a major sakuradite mining operation carried out under the direct authority of the NAC. In 2017, it was the setting of the first proposed Special Administrative Zone of Japan and the massacre that ensued during the founding ceremony. A memorial called the Fuji Mausoleum was built on site in the year following, commemorating those who died. The location is also known as Sector F-208. During a battle between Lelouch and Schneizel, Lelouch detonated the sakuradite mines within Mt. Fuji, causing an explosion that destroyed a majority of the Black Knights' forces as well as his own ground forces.

Tokyo Settlement

The Tokyo Settlement, is the administrative capital of Area 11, as well as the setting of the majority of the first season. It occupies a fraction of the area of real-world Tokyo. Dividing the concession area from the ghettos that surround it is the 5th Circinate Line of its monorail system, which takes the place of the former Yamanote Line. Militarily, its forces are organized into defense circles radiating from the Viceroy's Palace. The third such line from the center is called the Atsugi Line. Ashford Academy is located on the outskirts of the concession area. So as to provide a regular foundation for ease of construction over the ruins of Old Tokyo, the street level of the concession in fact rests upon a series of interlocked plates, which can be removed in case of earthquakes or other disasters. The locking mechanism is controlled via a closed-circuit system from a city administration facility. Lelouch twice exploits this in his battles against the Britannian army: first during the battle of Tokyo in 2017 , where he causes the top portion of the entire structure to collapse, destroying much of Cornelia's army; and again a year later to dump a small contingent of Britannian forces onto Chinese consulate soil. After the Second Assault on Tokyo Settlement a majority of the concession area is obliterated by Nina Einstein's F.L.E.I.J.A. bomb. In the ensuing chaos, the settlement's operation has been hindered with the infrastructure effectively in shambles. A month after the battle, reconstruction work is underway.

Kamine Island

Kamine Island is an uninhabited island in Area 11, near the real-world island of Shikinejima, claimed by Clovis prior to his death. It is a few miles from Shikine Island. A Thought Elevator is located here within the ruins of a structure built by an as yet unidentified civilization. This civilization appears to be somehow related to the origin of C.C. and V.V., and the existence of Geass.

India

The Militarized Zone of India is one of the territories under the Chinese Federation. It is referred to by the Federation government with the diminutive "beyond known lands". India is said to be vying for independence, and has to this end covertly amassed profits by supplying arms to Resistance groups in Area 11 through the Kyōto House until the death of Taizō Kirihara in a.t.b. 2017. They have since directly aided the Order of the Black Knights by providing them with Knightmare Frames

Taklamakan Desert

The Taklamakan Desert, also known as Taklimakan, is a desert in Central Asia, in the Chinese Federation. It is bounded by Kunlun Mountains to the south, and Pamir Mountains and Tian Shan (ancient Mount Imeon) to the west and north. The name is a Uyghur borrowing of Arabic tark 'to leave alone/out/behind, relinquish, abandon' + makan 'place.' (Popular accounts claim that Takla Makan means "go in and you'll never come out.") The Taklamakan is one of the largest sandy deserts in the world, ranking 15th in size in a ranking of the world's largest non-polar deserts. The G-3 Mobile Fortress Answerer is located here, as the Britannian Peacekeeper of these wastelands.

Vermillion Forbidden City

The Vermillion Forbidden Cityy is the seat of the Chinese Emperor and the government of the Federation — a large palace situated in the capital city of Luoyang. It is off-limits to the general public and, aside from guard detail and other military personnel, holds a permanent staff of Eunuchs and female servants for fear that consorts and members of the Imperial line may be illicitly impregnated. Official guests may be permitted entry only by the highest offices of government. Under the administration of the High Eunuchs, it serves also as a prison to the Emperor, who is effectively under life-long house arrest.

Penglai Island

Penglai Island is an artificial island off the coast of China, which generates electricity through tidal activity. It is granted to the Black Knights by the Federation to accommodate the Japanese refugees exiled following Britannia's second attempt to establish the Special Administrative Zone of Japan. Eighty-Eight Imperial Mausoleum

The Eighty-Eight Imperial Mausoleum is a peak-like structure traditionally used as a grave site by the Imperial Family of the Chinese Federation as well as all the previous Chinese Emperors. It is the setting of the final armed encounter between the Black Knights and the forces of the High Eunuchs. That battle resulted in the defeat of the Black Knights and their retreat to Penglai Island.

Area 18

The Middle Eastern Federation was a comparatively small union based in the Middle East, possibly a union of Islamic countries. Little is known about their organization or composition, though it would seem that it's either a coalition of independent states, or a confederacy. The MEF would seem to be a largely Arab and Muslim-based nation, judging on the dress uniforms of their soldiers and the architecture. Though the map given shows it does not hold the traditionally Arab parts of North Africa, nor the Muslim parts of Anatolia, Central Asia, or the Caucauses. This federation was at war with the Holy Empire of Britannia until the middle of 2017 a.t.b., when military forces under Cornelia's command finally put an end to fighting. It was then conquered and renamed Area 18. As stated by General Bartley, it is assumed that the Middle Eastern Federation also had a Thought Elevator on their territory.

Area 19

The Euro Universe was one of the three main Superpowers. The creation of the E.U. has been estimated around the 18th century, or the Industrial Revolution, when Napoleon Bonaparte was successful in the war against Britannia and occupied the British Isles. This caused the Britannians to be exiled to the Americas that were recently neutralized from Washington's rebellion. Although in 1821 Napoleon suffers defeat at Waterloo and ends the theory of the possible conquering and submission of Russia, it joins the E.U. later on in history, the meaning is unknown as the events between 1821-2010 are not described. It is possible that similar events to World War 1-2 happened (evidence to this can be seen in flashbacks of C.C.'s childhood) and a bond was formed between the two nations and the E.U. expanded further with the Imperialism of Africa. While geographically the largest of the three, it receives little actual attention in the show. It is usually abbreviated as the E.U., which may be a reference to the real-world European Union. In 2018, Schneizel leads the Britannian forces against the E.U., successfully conquering almost half of their territory. Due to the significant decrease in the E.U.'s territory and power, the Emperor of Britannia no longer considers the E.U. a threat.
